How it was made
A place is included only if its own page states the hours, and the words in hours_words_from_source are copied from that page. For pharmacies the source is the NHS.uk opening-times page, which also shows the date the pharmacy last confirmed its hours; that date is in the row. Each page was read by a person-supervised process on the date in date_read. Where a business's page could not be read, or did not state its hours, it is left out.
What it is not
- Not a census. It is a partial list of places we could verify, not every late venue in London. A place missing from it is not a place that is closed.
- Not live. Hours change without notice. Check with the venue before you travel. Each row says when we read it.
- Not a ranking or a recommendation. Nobody pays to be in it.

Second dataset: noise and building-work hours, all 33 London councils
For each of the 33 London councils (the 32 boroughs and the City of London): what its own website says about reporting noise, what it says about night-time or out-of-hours service, and the hours it allows for noisy building work on weekdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Every value links to the council page it came from, with the date we read it (3 or 13 October 2026).

Columns: council, noise_reporting_page_says, noise_night_time_page_says, noise_source_url, noise_read_on, building_work_weekdays, building_work_saturday, building_work_sundays_bank_holidays, building_work_notes, building_work_source_url, building_work_read_on. Quotes are copied from the council's page; the hours columns are our summary of that page.
What it is not. It does not measure how quickly a council answers or whether officers attend, and it is not a ranking of councils. It says only what each council publishes. Night services change, often by season, and several close over Christmas. One council (Barnet) refused our automated check for building-work hours, so that row says “not checked”. The same data, readable, is in noise complaints: police, 101 or the council? and building work noise hours. Same licence as above: CC BY 4.0 with a link back.

If a row is wrong, tell us and we fix it and log it on the corrections page. See also how the site works and the guides the rows come from: nightlife, 24-hour gyms, pharmacies.
